The Leicester Public School District is taking part in the Regional Youth Health Survey. This survey is sponsored by Worcester Division of Public Health. The survey will ask about the health behaviors of 7th and 8th grade students regarding nutrition, physical activity, sexual health, injury, violence, bullying, tobacco, alcohol, and other drug use.
Students will be asked to fill out the survey on June 7, 2017. The survey takes about 45 minutes for the students to complete. If you do NOT want your child to take this survey, click on the following link and complete the opt out form on the second page. Send the form to school with your child. If you are allowing your child to take the survey, you do not have to send anything back..

Dear LMS Families,
Have you heard about our annual magazine drive fundraiser, Great American Opportunities? It is our biggest fundraiser of the school year that we kick off in early fall. Did you know that students who participate in this fundraiser can earn money for college? Students earn thousands of dollars in Sage Scholars Tuition Rewards every year. These can be redeemed at over 340 participating private colleges and universities.
Who doesn’t want to earn money for college? Below are the qualifications:
- $100 in product sales= $1,000 in tuition reward points
- $250 in product sales= $2,500 in tuition reward points
Visit Tuition Rewards to learn more about participating schools, how to register and how to redeem your rewards. On Thursday May 11, 2017, your student received the certificate in school. If you have any questions regarding the certificate, please contact Mr. Fontaine.
Congratulations to our students. Overall they earned $112,000 in tuition rewards from our 2016/2017 fundraiser!
The induction ceremony for new NJHS members will be held on Wednesday, May 31 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Middle School gym.
We would like to remind all inductees to dress nicely for the ceremony - business casual to semi-formal. All current members should try to wear blue, black, and/or white. Please make sure that skirts are the appropriate length for school and wear shoes that are suitable for walking across the gym floor.
On the night of the ceremony, inductees and their sponsors should arrive no later than 5:30 PM and proceed to the cafeteria in order to get lined up and receive any last-minute instructions. Congratulations to the 2017 inductees!
If you had the choice, would you leave $20,000 on the table without claiming it? With Box Tops for Education, schools can earn up to $20,000 per year to use for such items as computers, books, art supplies, sports equipment, and much more.
LMS CommuniTeen is collecting box tops during the months of April, May, and June. Their goal is 5,000 box tops! Please help them reach their goal by sending in as many box tops as you can. Collection boxes are located in the library and cafeteria at the Middle School. Thanks!
