If you had the choice, would you leave $20,000 on the table without claiming it? With Box Tops for Education, schools can earn up to $20,000 per year to use for such items as computers, books, art supplies, sports equipment, and much more.
LMS CommuniTeen is collecting box tops during the months of April, May, and June. Their goal is 5,000 box tops! Please help them reach their goal by sending in as many box tops as you can. Collection boxes are located in the library and cafeteria at the Middle School. Thanks!
The induction of new NJHS members is fast approaching! The exact date is TBD, but it will most likely be early-mid May. We are currently calculating 7th graders’ GPA’s:
Students who have a cumulative GPA of 89.5 and higher are eligible. Those students will receive a letter in the mail with a Student Activity Information Form (SAIF) and other necessary documents to be returned to Mrs. Duprey, the advisor.
The NJHS Faculty Council meets to go through the SAIF’s.
All eligible students will be informed of acceptance or non-acceptance by letter. More important documents explaining induction and the appeal process will be included.
Within a week or two after those letters go out, there is at least one rehearsal for students.
Keep your eyes and ears peeled!
On March 28, the Leicester Public Schools’ Departments of Art, Music and Drama presented the 19th annual Evening with the Arts at Leicester High School. This magical night showcased the creativity, imagination, and hard work of all our students from kindergarten through grade 12. Click here to see the LMS Band perform a few tunes.
In this month's newsletter, you can read about a huge grant that we received to fund new Project Lead the Way classes for next year, many acts of kindness in which our students, teachers, and staff participate, and some information about some open house events that are occurring at the Middle School.
